The beach at Veterans Memorial Park is located on the northern end of Bolton Landing on Lake George. Its beach is long and flat, with plenty of room to spread your towel or build a sandcastle. The roped-in swimming area allows for swimming in both shallow and deep water, and it’s protected by lifeguards throughout the summer. If you’re not much of a swimmer you can just lie in the sand and take in the views of Tongue Mountain. Vets Beach, as the locals call it, has activities to last the entire day. Along with the beach, guests can take advantage of a volleyball court, a basketball court, a playground, charcoal grills, public docks, and a kayak launch. A beautiful wrap-around porch on the main level frames a large living room, dining room, half bath, and kitchen. Dine inside or al fresco at the outdoor dining table.
