If we go on a Saturday that’s not the 3rd Saturday, will the grist mill and water wheel still be working?
A:
The mill will not be in operation on other days. The waterwheel is kept wet for preservation and so is usually turning very slowly.

Looking for an outing for our 4 grands (7 years-3 years) early Monday, February 20 since Oconee schools are not in session. We live on Scenic Hwy 11 near Salem so our plan is to visit Hagood Mill and then on to Twin Falls. I understand that even though nothing is going on at the Mill that we can tour around and see the buildings. Also, we would like to have a picnic there or at Twin Falls. Are grills available?
A:
no grills

Getting to the mill and water wheel is along the solid dirt path and it is a pretty area, with grass, trees and the water wheel.
