The list of highest-paid tennis players in 2025 has officially been unveiled with multiple recognizable names at the top.

Carlos Alcaraz won the Cincinnati Open title in a little more than 20 minutes on Monday after top-ranked Jannik Sinner was forced to retire because of illness during the first set.

For two decades, men’s tennis was defined by the Big Three of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, who won a combined 66 out of 81 Grand Slam events between 2003 and 2023. Men’s tennis has entered a new era: the Big Two.

Nathan, a co-founder of the sports website Defector Media, has published “ Changeover: A Young Rivalry and a New Era of Men’s Tennis ” with Gallery Books. He spent the 2024 season squarely focused on Sinner and Alcaraz, in which they split the four majors and accelerated their ascension into a tennis stratosphere of their own creation.
