Bethesda is making The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered official just days after the game leaked. Oblivion Remastered is a remaster of the nearly 20-year-old game, developed by Virtuous. Oblivion Remastered is shadow dropping today, and it’s available on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X / S right now for $49.99, or as part of Xbox Game Pass.

After many reports, leaks, and rumors, Bethesda officially unveiled The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. And the $50 remaster is launching today on Xbox Series X/S, Game Pass, PS5, and PC.

Bethesda Game Studios is clarifying its stance on why Virtuos’ newly released The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered isn’t considered a remake. The studio behind the classic fantasy RPG series touched on why it’s called Oblivion Remastered and not Oblivion Remake in a post on X/Twitter today.
