The Hyattsville Police Department broke the news on social media, saying it happened near his Hyattsville-area apartment as he was returning home from grabbing food with a woman.

Chef Tobias Dorzon, a Food Network star and former NFL player, was shot in an apparent robbery in Maryland. The Hyattsville Police Department posted a statement on social media stating that they were looking for five people involved in the incident.

The incident took place on November 5, according to a Facebook post shared by the Hyattsville Police Department. Authorities arrived at the scene of a “double shooting” where an attempted robbery took place against a man and a woman, who were returning from dinner. The post initially stated that there were four potential subjects involved.

Chef Tobias Dorzon, a Food Network star and former NFL player, was injured in a shooting during an apparent robbery in Maryland.  Known for his Southern-inspired cuisine, Dorzon was an innocent bystander when robbers targeted a couple in the area.
