Giddey isn't about to make anyone forget about the defense former Bulls guard Alex Caruso used to play, but he has had an awakening. He showed his progress in the Bulls' victory Saturday against the Bucks.

Bulls reserve guard Ayo Dosunmu, who has earned closing minutes over Giddey, will miss at least 10 days with a right calf strain he sustained in the previous matchup against Milwaukee on Dec. 23. In his absence, the Bulls turned to Giddey’s length.

Chicago was led by 22-year-old guard Josh Giddey, putting up 23 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. This was Giddey's second triple-double of the season and 13th of his career, but his 23 points was a surprising season high.
