A member of the Los Angeles Fire Department saw his vehicle get swept into the Pacific Ocean after escaping the vehicle trapped in a large debris flow near Malibu Thursday evening.

A large debris flow pushed a Los Angeles Fire Department car into the ocean on Monday, sending one occupant to the hospital.

A Los Angeles Fire Department member escaped a close call Thursday after his vehicle was swept into the ocean by fast-moving mud along Pacific Coast Highway. The man was driving just after 5 p.m. when his vehicle was swept off the road by large debris near Big Rock Road in Malibu.
