For the second year in a row, the Los Angeles Dodgers are triumphant once again. The Dodgers' World Series victory over the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 7 was an instant classic, filled with absurd moments that made it the most-watched baseball game since 2017.
Crowds at metro stations and downtown broke out into spontaneous “Go Dodgers” cheers and chants, while food and t-shirt vendors jockeyed for attention. Loudspeakers blasted Ice Cube, Nate Dogg and, of course, Randy Newman's 'I Love L.A."
There is a parade in Los Angeles for a second straight season as the Dodgers ride through the city celebrating back-to-back World Series championships, and the official t-shirts are on sale now.
The Dodgers opened as the consensus favorite to win another World Series in 2026, with +375 odds at ESPN BET. They are followed by the Yankees, Astros and Phillies.
It's the third championship for Smith, who also won it with the Dodgers in 2020 on top of last season. Smith is the only Louisville alumni to win multiple championships, and just one of two to win a World Series after Adam Duvall did so with the Atlanta Braves in 2021.
