A Star Is Born' Oscar nominated Producer Lynette Howell Taylor has been elected President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences

Veteran producer Lynette Howell Taylor has been elected president of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Taylor will succeed Janet Yang in the role, presiding over the organization that puts on the Oscars, film academy CEO Bill Kramer said Thursday.

Producer Lynette Howell Taylor has been named the new president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences by the organization's Board of Governors. She replaces Janet Yang, who has served as the Academy’s president since 2021.
