The New Orleans Pelicans may be getting Zion Williamson back soon, but it’s hard to envision them achieving much of anything for the rest of the 2024-25 season. At present, they have a 7-29 record which is “good” for the second-worst win-loss tally in the association — with only the Washington Wizards being worse.

The Pelicans (7-29) won consecutive games for the first time since beating the Chicago Bulls and the Trail Blazers to start the season. This was just the Pelicans’ second road win and first since that victory over the Blazers in the second game of the year. It ended the Pelicans’ 15-game road losing skid.

CJ McCollum highlighted a career high-tying 50 points with 10 3-pointers in a game, and the New Orleans Pelicans snapped an 11-game losing streak with a 132-120 victory over the Washington Wizards.
