The 2024-25 New Jersey girls basketball state tournament was officially seeded on Tuesday and will begin play on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Here are the sectional brackets, which become official at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Park Ridge, Glen Rock and Demarest are the North Jersey teams to receive No. 1 seeds in their sections for this year’s NJSIAA girls basketball tournament, which tips off Wednesday, Feb. 26.

Why they’re dangerous: Montclair has an impact player in senior Savannah Seawell, who is a double-double machine. She can score and rebound at will, averaging 20 points and 12.7 rebounds per game. Seawell can win a game by herself, and gives Montclair a shot against seventh-seeded Paterson Kennedy.

Franklin Township girls basketball is seeded 5th in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group tournament. They face Old Bridge in the opening round!
