The United States government sent a delegate of eight investigators to South Korea to help assess the Jeju Air plane crash that killed 179 people last Sunday. The delegate consists of investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration,

The damaged flight data recorder from the Jeju Air passenger jet that crash-landed in South Korea will be sent to the United States for analysis, Seoul’s transport ministry said Wednesday, as bereaved families began visiting the crash site.

The flight, operated by Jeju Air, was landing when it went off the runway in Muan, in the country’s southwest. Only two people survived the crash.
