Domestic stock market benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty, hit fresh record highs on Friday amid positive investor sentiments following a 50 basis points cut by the US Federal Reserve. In the last two days, the Sensex has gained nearly 1600 points and Nifty has added 413 points.

Sensex hits a record high of 84,544.31, driven by gains in bank stocks and positive global trends, signaling strong market sentiment.

The NSE Nifty surged 375.15 points or 1.48 per cent to close at a record 25,790.95 level. During the day, the gauge zoomed 433.45 points or 1.70 per cent to reach an all-time intra-day peak of 25,849.25.
