After some much-needed rain tonight that hopefully will stop the D.C. region’s record dry streak, Veterans Day should clear and dry out.

Yet another overcast and humid day for the start of our weekend. A lucky few saw quick passing shower, but most stayed dry. Temperatures remained in the 70s, with warmer highs to our south. Sunday: Expect much of the same for the end of the weekend.

We’ll see mostly cloudy skies through the day Sunday. An isolated shower or two is possible late in the day Sunday, towards the upper end of the Peninsula (New Kent/JC/Wburg) and Surry/Sussex. The rain will then move east overnight,

Tonight: Scattered showers become increasingly likely after 5 p.m. or so. Any showers should be on the light side, but could be enough to end D.C.'s record streak without measurable rain, which currently stands at 38 days. Otherwise we’re mostly cloudy and a bit breezy with overnight lows in the upper 40s to low 50s. Confidence: Medium
