Rescue operations are underway at the SLBC tunnel in Nagarkurnool, where eight workers remain trapped after a portion of the tunnel collapsed on February 22.The latest visuals from the site show rescue teams using cutting machines to cut through rods as they continue their efforts to reach the trapped workers.

HYDERABAD: Fears that some - if not all the eight workers missing after having been caught in falling debris in the SLBC tunnel collapse – may no longer be alive gripped the rescue workers with a team of scientists from NGRI discovering five spots where ‘anomalies’ were found in their Ground Penetration Radar tests inside the tunnel,

"I personally visited the site, and in my view, there is absolutely no chance of survival. This is my expectation and opinion, though technical experts may have a different assessment," Jupally Krishna Rao stated at a press conference in Gandhi Bhavan on Friday.

Rescue operations are ongoing in Nagarkurnool after a tunnel collapsed on February 22, trapping eight workers. Efforts to rescue them have been intensified, with a total of 200 personnel set to be deployed at the site.
