Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner needed to be restrained and was ejected from the game following a scuffle with Los Angeles Sparks rookie Rickea Jackson on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

The big storyline from that game was the fight that broke out between Mercury center Brittney Griner and Sparks rookie Rickea Jackson. Late in the second quarter, both players started jawing at each other and both got a shove in before they were separated. However, the two kept going at it from a distance. Both players were ejected from the game.
