The New York Knicks continued to stay afloat without their star point guard Jalen Brunson, thanks to strong performances from OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges.

OG Anunoby scored the first nine points of the fourth quarter for the Knicks and finished the period with 20 of his 31 points. For the Knicks, who are waiting anxiously for the return of Brunson from the right ankle sprain that has sidelined him for 11 games, it was a bright spot that might be able to provide a boost in the postseason.

This season, Jalen Brunson is once again the heart and soul of the New York Knicks. The two-time All-Star, however, has been out of action since March 6 when he injured his ankle in an overtime loss to the LA Lakers.

Indiana has the 10th-ranked offense and 16th-ranked defense this season. Since Jan. 1, Indiana’s offense ranks seventh and its defense ranks 13th, both better than New York. Still, the Knicks are 2-1 against the Pacers. Indiana didn’t have Myles Turner in one of its losses, though, and New York didn’t have OG Anunoby in that game.
