Alabama residents were treated to the joys of the Cascade Plunge and Pavilion, which opened to great fanfare in 1923.

The floral clock, the first of its kind in the U.S., was on display at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens from 1963-1995. But there's still one to see in Alabama.
