Stefon Diggs was supposed to complete the Houston Texans’ trio of elite receivers in 2024. He joined Nico Collins and Tank Dell in C.J. Stroud’s arsenal, but his season was cut short after he tore his ACL in Week 8.

Although the Texans left the door open for Diggs’ return and he was well-liked in the locker room, his injury and age were actors against extending their business relationship, Instead, Diggs heads back to the AFC East one year after being acquired in a trade from the Buffalo Bills.

Stefon Diggs’ contract is official with the New England Patriots and now he needs to figure out what number he’s going to wear. The wide receiver wore No. 1 with the Houston Texans last season, but that number is already taken by Ja’Lynn Polk.
