A Louisiana father who was reported missing less than 2 days into a Carnival cruise was seen in surveillance footage climbing into a lifeboat and jumping off the ship's deck early Monday morning.

Officials said the passenger leaned over a balcony railing and plunged into the water. The unidentified 35-year-old man was aboard the Carnival Magic cruise ship.
