More than a year after the iconic "CNN" letters were removed from the network’s former downtown headquarters, plans for the building’s future have been unveiled.

Now, CP Group, the owners of the iconic downtown Atlanta building say the 1.2 million square-foot structure is undergoing a historic transformation. The iconic CNN Center will be getting a makeover to become “The Center”, a retail, dining, and entertainment hub.

The company plans to turn the 1.2 million-square-foot space into a hub for retail, dining and entertainment, including a “confidential high-end restaurant tenant for nearly 10,000 square feet of space.
