Forecasters are expecting Tropical Storm Sara to develop in the next 24 hours as it meanders off the coast of Central America. It’s too early to forecast the intensity and track beyond a few days, but some forecast models show the potential for a Sara to be pushed back to the northeast toward Florida sometime during the middle of next week.

The severe weather system is expected to intensify rapidly in the coming days as it approaches the mainland U.S.
