HISTORY OF PRINCETON FROM FOUNDING TO PRESENT TIME
The college was removed to Princeton in the autumn of 1756 and opened there with 70 students. Policy Extended Under Witherspoon. In May, 1768, John Witherspoon was elected president of the college.
