The powerful Switzerland men’s ski team has won its home World Cup super-G at Wengen. However, it's Franjo von Allmen getting his first career win as team star Marco Odermatt had a rare poor result on Friday.

The Swiss alpine ski racer had a near clean run on Wengen's Super-G course while his teammate, reigning Super G title holder Marco Odermatt, recorded his worst race in the discipline since March 2022.

Marco Odermatt, the 27-year-old superstar of men’s skiing, raced down the longest and quirkiest World Cup downhill course to edge teammate Franjo von Allmen for victory in the classic Lauberhorn race.
