Paris Mountain State Park in Greenville County was closed for a month and reopened Oct. 25. Slightly further south, Hamilton Branch State Park in McCormick County did not reopen until Nov. 21.
The 1,700-acre park was among more than half the state’s parks that closed following the storm. After weeks of cleanup, it’s one of the last to open to visitors.
