As six NFL teams attempt to fill vacancies, here's the case for 73-year-old former Seahawks leader Pete Carroll as a viable NFL head coach in 2025.

It wasn't that long ago that Pete Carroll surprisingly stepped away from the Seattle Seahawks' sideline. In 14 seasons with the franchise, the 73-year-old head coach revived the organization with a 137-89-1 record and 10 playoff appearances — including back-to-back NFC Championships and Super Bowl

Pete Carroll has interest in coaching in the NFL again next season, and the former Super Bowl champion has secured at least one interview. Carroll will interview with the Chicago Bears for their head-coaching job on Thursday, ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports.

Former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is clearly showing a desire to return to coaching. In late December it was announced Carroll was interested in the Bears' top job, and he even recently completed an interview with Chicago.

Per Jeremy Fowler, former Seahawks HC Pete Carroll has spent Monday afternoon interviewing with the Raiders for their head coaching position. Carroll has already spoken with the Bears and Fowler adds he could be on the Cowboys’ radar as well.
