The Akron Zips football team is attempting to match its win total from last season and keep UMass winless this year during a Mid-American Conference matchup on Nov. 4. Akron (3-6, 2-3 in the MAC) won four games in 2024.

The Hawks, coached by Aaron Hazel, sit atop the Mt. Hood Conference with a 4-0 conference record and can wrap up the outright MHC title by beating Clackamas. They are coming off arguably the biggest win in program history, 26-6 against Central Catholic last Friday.
