ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Heads up, anglers. Florida's recreational Gulf red snapper season will open Memorial Day weekend from May 24-26, kicking off the longest streak in state history.

Gulf state waters are from shore to 9 nautical miles. Reef fish gear rules apply. The 2025 Gulf red snapper season is open to people fishing from private recreational vessels or charter vessels.
