It’s shaping up to be a big weekend for Formula 1 leader Lando Norris, and a frustrating one for four-time champion Max Verstappen. The McLaren driver widened the gap to teammate Oscar Piastri to nine points by winning the sprint race of the Brazilian Grand Prix on Saturday and followed it up by also taking pole position for Sunday’s grid.

Verstappen to start Sao Paulo Grand Prix from pit lane
Max Verstappen will start Sunday's São Paulo Grand Prix from the pit lane after Red Bull changed his car's set-up and installed a new power unit following his 16th place in qualifying. The news was announced by the governing FIA.
First things first, as the 24-lap F1 Sprint race kicks off the day. Lando Norris, who leads the Drivers’ Championship race by a single point over teammate Oscar Piastri, starts up front with Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli in second. Piastri lines up third while Max Verstappen, after a difficult qualifying session on Friday, starts sixth.
