Sophie Turner recently shared her thoughts on Game of Thrones‘ controversial rape scene in an interview. In the epic fantasy drama series, Turner essayed Sansa Stark, who in Season 2 narrowly escaped a rape attempt.

At the time, the brutal scene was met with immense backlash, especially since the scene isn't a scenario in the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, which the series is based on. In George R.R. Martin's A Dance With Dragons, Ramsay's bride is played by a different character who is not in the show, and he forces Theon to sexually interact with his bride.
