South Korean officials sent the voice recorder to be analyzed at an NTSB lab in the US after they discovered data was missing.

The flight, operated by Jeju Air, was landing when it went off the runway in Muan, in the country’s southwest. Only two people survived the crash.

The flight data and cockpit voice recorders on the Jeju Air jet that crashed on Dec. 29 stopped recording four minutes before the airliner hit a concrete structure at South Korea's Muan airport, the transport ministry said on Saturday.
