CNN, MS NOW and Politico on Monday sued President Donald Trump's administration days after they were barred from White House grounds, calling the selective ban -- based on the content of their coverage -- illegal and a "blatant violation" of the First Amendment.

CNN "OutFront" anchor Erin Burnett on Monday asked Grisham "what's next" after Trump banned CNN, Politico and MS NOW from White House grounds. The move prompted the five television networks in the presidential TV pool to suspend their coverage. It meant Trump's remarks during the unveiling of a new helipad on the South Lawn were largely inaudible.

The move comes after the Trump administration restricted access to the White House for CNN, MS NOW and POLITICO.
