Mainz has got its first win in the Bundesliga after a hard-fought 3-2 win away at Augsburg. Jonathan Burkardt scored twice for the visitor, which had a man sent off before halftime.

Mainz defeated Augsburg 3-2 on Friday evening as both teams finished the match with 10 men on the pitch. Mainz were on target twice in the space of two minutes - and thanks to two assists from Phillipp Mwene.

The victory came even though Mainz played most of the match with 10 men after Nadiem Amiri was sent off 10 minutes before halftime
