Colorado Democrats needed all four remaining Senate contests to swing their way to gain a supermajority in the state Senate. At 11:49 a.m. on Thursday, AP called state Senate district 15 for Republican Marc Catlin over his Democratic opponent, Cole Buerger. Catlin bested Buerger by about 4%, or 3,500 votes.

The voters approved Prop 113 to have Colorado's participation in the National Popular Vote Compact which would give the state's electoral votes to the candidate who wins the national popular vote instead of the candidate who wins the statewide popular vote.
