At least 95 killed in 7.1-magnitude Tibet earthquake as tremors felt across multiple countries
At least 95 people died and 130 are injured in a powerful 7.1-magnitude earthquake that struck the mountainous region of Tibet in China, with tremors felt across Nepal, Bhutan and India. The earthquake, which struck at 9.05am local time, was centred in Tibet’s Tingri County in Xigaze City at a depth of about 10km, the US Geological Survey reported.
