Dairy Queen isn’t the only ice cream scooper that gives away freebies once a year. Ben & Jerry also has announced its Free Cone Day, which will take place on April 8.

The ice cream spot’s unofficial holiday is back on March 20, the first day of spring. The annual Free Cone Day means fans can snag a free small vanilla soft serve ice cream in a cone (duh!), just like in previous years. There is a limit of one free soft serve per customer but no purchase is necessary.

Since its conception in 1979, Free Cone Day has been a way for Ben & Jerry's to give back to the community that helped it grow from a single Scoop Shop in a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vt., to one of the most beloved ice cream companies worldwide.
