The Minnesota Wild are getting a perfect storm of returns for Thursday evening against the Utah Hockey Club as both star forward Kirill Kaprizov and defenseman Jared Spurgeon have been activated from IR.

Spurgeon scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks. Spurgeon has two points over three games since he returned from a lower-body injury. The defenseman was able to get a bit of a breather in this contest since the Wild controlled play well,

The Wild found relief from their rut with their most tried-and-true remedy: playing on the road. Like clockwork, they left St. Paul and immediately improved, using a strong start to hold off the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 on Sunday night at United Center for just their second victory in seven games.
