Melissa Rivers revealed that she managed to save an irreplaceable item belonging to her late mother, Joan Rivers, before evacuating her home.

Melissa lost her a 7,048-square-foot, six-bedroom Mediterranean-style home in Santa Monica in the Palisades Fire on Wednesday.

Melissa Rivers revealed during an interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins that she managed to save her mother Joan Rivers’ prized Emmy award before her house burned down in the L.A. fires (via Entertainment Weekly).

Melissa said her "heart is so broken" as the Pacific Palisades was "wiped off the map" by the fires: "That's the end of everything that belonged to my family and the history of it."
