Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams scorched Sheriff Susan Hutson for failing to order an investigation into the crime scene where 10 inmates escaped from jail.

Unrelenting law enforcement agents continue to hunt for Lenton Vanburen, Antoine Massey, Derrick Groves, Leo Tate, and Jermaine Donald.

New Orleans sheriff waited nearly a week to have the scene of a 10-man jailbreak processed for evidence by crime lab technicians, and then did so only at the behest of the district attorney, according to Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams.

Casey Smith, 30, was arrested on Thursday for allegedly assisting two of the 10 inmates who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center on May 16, police said.

"We are deeply disappointed in the overall management of the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office - from Susan Hutson to the maintenance staff," the Robinson family said.

As the search for five remaining escapees continues, Orleans Parish DA Jason Williams says there were delays in evidence gathering at the jail.
