On the heels of a disappointing effort in Game 5, New York Knicks players convened to discuss what went wrong and how they could avoid the same fate with an opportunity to close out the Boston Celtics on their home court in Game 6.

Jalen Brunson has etched himself among New York Knicks royalty by leading the franchise to their first Eastern Conference Finals in 25 years. His ascension wasn’t overnight.

The Knicks were outscored 32-17 in that third quarter when Brunson picked up the five fouls. Brunson had just two points in the quarter. With the Knicks trailing 91-76, coach Tom Thibodeau put Brunson back in the game to start the fourth quarter. He only made it to the 7:19 mark before committing his sixth foul and fouling out.
