One of Bob Dylan's first New York connections, "America's tuning fork" Pete Seeger, is depicted in the new Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown.

Seeger joined the Communist Party in 1942 and, in time, learned to make his appeals to communism with subtlety. After the U.S. became a global stalwart in the fight against totalitarianism, “that pushed Seeger toward a more refined style.”

There were three moments in the new Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown” that moved me to tears. But, even before I get to the tears part, let me say that “A Complete Unknown” is a complete triumph.
