Around Wake and Durham counties, groups are gathering in protest of the Trump administration. Thousands were expected to rally in the Triangle in total. This is all part of a national day of action where organizers are spending Saturday holding a ‘No Kings’ protest.

Crowds gathered at Orange Street Community Center and at Granville County Democratic Party headquarters. In Lee County, a "No King's" rally sponsored by the Lee County Democratic Party was held on the sidewalk in front of the old courthouse on S. Horner Boulevard in Sanford.

Under the banner of "No Kings," people turned out in towns large and small with signs and chants in a largely peaceful protest against policies of the Trump administration.
