The man accused of fatally shooting the CEO of UnitedHealthcare in New York City and leading authorities on a five-day manhunt is scheduled to be in court for the first time since his December arraignment on state murder and terror charges.

Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a busy Manhattan sidewalk, appeared in court for a status hearing on Friday in New York City.

Mangione's supporters started lining up outside the courthouse around 4 a.m., hoping to get a seat for his afternoon pre-trial hearing.
