Keep the snow shovel on standby for Sunday as some accumulating snow is anticipated, followed by a shot of much colder air on Monday

A frost advisory is issued for St. Augustine with freezing inland temperatures, weekend rain and a cold front expected through next week.

A couple of weak systems passing through will lead to light snow chances through the weekend followed by a brief blast of Arctic cold early next week.A clipper system will continue to rotate through the region on Friday with just enough energy to squeeze out the rest of the moisture resulting in flurries or pockets

It all starts Monday afternoon and evening with a cold front that will send rain and thunderstorms through the area.

It will be a quieter day for our Tuesday around central Indiana. Many communities are still trying to dig out from the heavy snow we received Sunday and Monday. You can see from the map below where the bands of heaviest snow fell versus the sharp cutoff in our northern counties.

Tonight temperatures are expected to drop into the single digits and teens in some areas accompanied with snow fall.

The cold, windy weather continues. Our *First Alert Weather Day* continues through this evening as wind chill values remain in the 5-15 degree range as gusts stay between 40 and 50 mph. Meteorologist Scott Gagliardi said some light snow was possible on Saturday.

Light snow from overnight will cause slick spots early, but bigger impacts froms snow are expected this weekend.
