Amazon.com will require employees to return to working at company offices five days per week beginning next year, toughening a prior three-day mandate.

In what it claims in a move to "strengthen our culture and teams", Amazon has ordered employees to return to the office five days a week. Many employees were fully remote during the pandemic and many worked hybrid with three days in the office for the past 15 months.

Amazon is reverting to its pre-pandemic policy and will require corporate employees to be in the office five days a week starting next year, CEO Andy Jassy said Monday.
