Country music artist Brantley Gilbert will perform at the Monroe County Fair in August, organizers announced Monday. The multi-platinum artist will perform on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 8 p.m.

Gilbert wrote "The Weekend" with Andrew DeRobert, though they've still never met face to face. The song, which has already climbed into the iTunes Country Top 10, is available on iTunes.
