The “miracle building” of West 57th Street, once and future home of Calvary Baptist Church, got two gifts from heaven this week.

First Calvary Baptist Church will celebrate its 159th homecoming on Sunday. The weekend will began with a Gospel Explosion featuring area groups and singers starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday church.

Chardon Baptist Church, located at 363 Wilson Mills Road, will commemorate 50 years of ministry and community presence with a special event on July 20.
