The Chicago White Sox announced Thursday they've signed former All-Star outfielder Joey Gallo to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training. The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms with OF/1B Joey Gallo on a minor-league contract which includes a non-roster invite to Spring Training.

The 31-year-old Gallo was a two-time All-Star and a two-time Gold Glove winner for the Texas Rangers and even posted back-to-back 40-homer seasons in 2017 and 2018. Gallo also brings value because of his ability to play first base, third base, and all three outfield positions.
