Microsoft today released the final version of Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP and made it available for free download at the Internet Explorer 7 site. IE7 is a significant upgrade to IE6.

If you're still running Windows 7, there's no reason not to download Microsoft's Internet Explorer 11 browser. Just be aware there are additional features only for Windows 8.1 users.

Open IE, press the key, select the Tools menu, and click Internet Options. If you’re using Windows 8, open IE from the traditional desktop interface to get at these options.
