Alex Nedeljkovic is heading to San Jose in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft. With the trade, the Penguins have announced they now have 28 draft picks over the next three years.

The Sharks also acquired goalie Alex Nedeljkovic from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a 2028 third-round draft pick, and signed forward Philipp Kurashev to a one-year, $1.2 million contract.

Nedeljkovic went 14-15-5 with a 3.12 goals-against average and .894 save percentage last season. He became the 16th goalie in NHL history to score a goal on Jan. 17 at Buffalo.
